I’ve been busy embroidering and sewing bags for sale, but I think a stream of bags would make a pretty dull blog, so that’s partly why I’ve been MIA. I photograph them all and upload them to Flickr so if anyone is desperate to see yet more embroidered bags you can find them here.
I’ve also been experimenting with FSL (or free-standing lace for those not familiar with machine embroidery lingo). I’ve made a few Christmas decorations that I’m thinking of giving to the boys’ teachers as Christmas gifts. I usually make them something but this year I have more people to make for so I need to make gifts that don’t require loads of time and effort. Son number two attends the school nursery now and that means gifts for his teacher and key worker, plus the three I have for son number one (two teachers and his SLT). One of the teachers is male which is an added complication because I don’t think he’d appreciate an embroidered bag like the ones I made in the summer.
